Dosage form:
120 ml Syrup in a PET, including leaflet and measuring cap inside a box.  


Ingredients:
Hyssop, Viper’s bugloss, Morning glory, Jujube, Cordia fruit, Zante Currant, Fig, Quince, Liquorice, Caper, Maidenhair, Marshmallow, Cucumber seed, Melon seed, Nut mace, Sweet violet, Tragacanth Gum, Acacia Gum, Mallow, Stevia, Honey.  


Indications:
This medicine is used in case of dry cough, allergic cough and hack. It can also relieve common cold, rhinitis, and sore throat. In addition, it is helpful in relieving and prevention of asthma attack and inflammation of respiratory system. In a study in Baqiyatallah Hospital it was shown that Zofa syrup has an acceptable antitussive effect on people who suffer from respiratory problems caused by chemicals and it can  improve their quality of life.


Mechanism of action:
Hyssop and nut mace contain alpha-pinene and cause anti-inflammatory and bronchodilatory effect.

Marshmallow, mallow and jujube are expectorant and because of high content of mucilage they have soothing effect on respiratory tracts.


Dosage: 
Unless otherwise prescribed, children take 5-10 ml of syrup 3 or 4 times per day.

Adults take 15-20 ml of syrup 3 or 4 times per day.

Maximum dose: 20 ml of syrup every 2 hours under supervision of physician or pharmacist.

Contraindications:
In case of allergy to any component of medicine, don’t keep on using.

Cautions:
The presence of insoluble particles in syrup is due to herbal active ingredients.

Shake well before use. For better efficacy, please complete the treatment period.
