Zataria syrup

Dosage form:
120 ml syrup in a PET, including leaflet and measuring cap inside a box.

 

Ingredients:
Zataria, Ammi, Jujube, Black night shade, Sweet violet, Marshmallow, Maidenhair, Viper’s
bugloss, Fennel, Liquorice, German chamomile, Roman leopard’s bane, Iris rhizome, Common polypody, Musk root, Persian manna,  Caltrops, Lemon- Balm, Melilot.

 

Indications:
This medicine is used in case of asthma and bronchitis. It has decongestant and anti post-nasal drip, expectorant and mucolytic effects and acts as a respiratory tract disinfectant.

Mechanism of action:
In a study it was shown that Zataria can improve pulmonary functions and have a good anti-asthma effect.
Because of inhibitory effect of Zataria on histamine and muscarinic receptors and stimulative effect on beta-adrenoreceptors it is a proper bronchodilator and antitussive medicine.

 

Dosage:
Unless otherwise prescribed, children with less than 6 age, take 5 ml of syrup 3 or 4 times per day. Children with more than 6 age, take 10 ml of syrup 3 or 4 times per day.
Adults take 15- 20 ml of syrup 3 or 4 times per day.
For newborn (less than 2 years old) only by physician prescription.

 

Side effects:
None-known.

Contraindications:
In case of allergy to any component of medicine.

Cautions:
The presence of insoluble particles in syrup is due to herbal active ingredients.
Shake well before use.  For better efficacy, please complete the treatment period.
Please throw away extra syrup, if you complete treatment period.

Using during pregnancy and lactation:
Not recommended in first trimester.
It can change the taste of milk.
