 Ingredients: 

Ammi, Zataria, black seed, Mastic, Purified honey. 

 

 

 Product description:

This medicine contains some herbs such as Zataria, Ammi seed and black seed that have beneficial effects in management of some GIT problems. Due to Thymol containing substances (Zataria, Ammi) this medicine is antitussive, decongestant and antirhinitis.  

 

 

 Indications:

1- This medicine is used in case of bloating as carminative.

2- Gastritis.

3- This medicine has antireflux action that can prevent GERD-related chronic coughs.

4- Relieves stomach fullness and indigestion. 

5- Relieves dry cough, allergic cough, and cough with unknown source.

6- In traditional medicine, it has been used as antiphlegm, stomach and bowel tonic and carminative.

 

 

 Mechanism of action:

Ammi and zataria are high in thymol and carvacrol content and induce mucous,bile and pancreatic enzymes secretion. In some studies have been observed that these active comounds have antibacterial and antifungal effects. Ammi extract has anticholinergic effects and can reduce bowel spasms. In some researches ammi and zataria exerted bronchodilatory and antihistaminic properties and can be used in case of coughs and respiratory problems.

 

 

 Dosage:

GIT

 

 

 problems:

Unless otherwise prescribed, take 1 to 2 tablets after each meal.

 

 

 Antitussive:

1-2 tablet, 3-4 times per day.

 

 

 Antiphlegm:

2 tablets before breakfast, and 2 tablets at bed time.

 

 

 Side effects: 

None-known.  

 

 

 Contraindications: 

In case of allergy to any components of medicine.  

 

 

 Interactions: 

None-known.  

 

 

 Using during pregnancy: 

Not recommended because of existence of Thymol in Ammi and Zataria.  

 

 

 Using during lactation: 

Consult with physician. It may change the taste of milk.
