Digestive tonic syrup

Dosage form:

200 ml syrup in a PET, including leaflet and measuring cap inside a box.  

 

 

Ingredients:    

Prune, Common barberry, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Ginger, Ammi, Tamarind fruit, Long pepper, Tabasheer (Bamboo gum), Grape extract, Purified honey.  

 

 

Introduction:

This medicine contains Prune , Common barberry and Tamarind fruit to enhance appetite. Also it contains Ammi, Cardamom and Tabasheer to improve digestion hence prevent indigestion. Moreover contains Cinnamon, Ginger and Long pepper to  reduce the nausea and vomiting specially during pregnancy.  

 

 

Indications:

1-       Appetizer especially for children.

2-    Antiemetic and anti-flatulence.

3-    Anti-reflux and prevention of Gastroesophageal reflux disease.

4-    Heartburn, dyspepsia and indigestion. 

 

 

Mechanism of action:

Common barberry has anthocyanin and cardamom has cineol and linalyl acetate so they can increase bile secretion. Cinnamon is appetite stimulant because of cinamaldehyde and eugenol content. Tamarind fruit has alpha-humulene, carvacrol and fiber and has high antioxidant power and spasmolytic effect. Ginger can prevent nausea and vomiting because of gingerol content.

 

 

Dosage:

Unless otherwise prescribed, in case of dyspepsia and indigestion, take 20-30 ml of syrup after meal. In case of appetizer, take 20-30 ml of syrup half an hour before meal.

Contraindication: 

In case of allergy to any component.

Cautions:

Presence of insoluble particles in syrup is due to herbal active ingredients. Shake well before use. Complete treatment period.
