Dosage form: 

100 tablets in a PET including leaflet inside a box.   

Ingredients:  

Chebulic myrobalan, Belleric myrobalan, Emblic myrobalan, Honey, Almond oil.  

Product description: 

SimpleTrip or triphala contains myrobalans which are useful in stomach weakness, hemorrohoids and especially for prevention of hair graying due to age.  

Indications:

1- Treatment & prevention of hair graying.

2-Stomach tonic, carminative.

3- Useful in treatment of colitis and IBS.  

Mechanism of action:

Myrobalans have high antioxidant power because of high Tannin content.Chebulic myrobalan contains chebulagic acid, chebulinic acid, tannins and phenolics.Belleric myrobalan is high in tannins and phenolics and has antibacterial activity.Emblic myrobalan is high in Ascorbic acid and can be effective in mucous formation in gastrointestinal system.High antioxidant power of this medication protects enzymes, peptides and amino acids like cystine and methionine that participate in hair and skin structure from free radicals. Tannin compounds can increase methionine absorption and cystine function in body metabolisms.Almond oil contains fatty acids like oleic acid and linoleic acid. 

Dosage:

Unless otherwise prescribed, take 2 tablets after each meal.   

Side effects:

It may cause diarrhea and abdominal cramps which will reduce gradually during treatment period.   

Contraindications:

In case of allergy to any component of medicine.   

Interactions: 

With laxatives.  

Cautions: 

1- If it prescribes with laxatives, the dosage of laxatives must be reduced.

2- Complete the treatment period which is at least 1-2 months.

3- If you forget a dose, skip it and continue your normal schedule.  

Using during pregnancy:

Consult with your physician.  

Using during lactation:

It may change the taste of milk and may cause mild diarrhea in infants.
