Dosage form:

30 sugar coated tablets in three blisters including leaflet inside a box.

 

 

Clinical class:

Thrombolytic, Anti-hyperlipidemia.

 

 

Ingredients:

Garlic clove with scientific name of Allium Sativum bulbus consisting of Alliin and Allicin.

 

 

Introduction:

Garlic bulbous consisting of fresh or carefully dried bulbs that consist of the main bulb with several secondary bulbs of Allium Sativum, as well as its preparations in effective dosage.

 

 

Indications:    

1) Thrombolytic

2) Fibrinolytic

3) Lipid Lowering

4) Relatively effective in controlling high blood pressure

5) It also reduces the adverse effects of atherosclerosis such as amnesia, dizziness, tinnitus, feeling of pins and needles in hands and feet.

 

 

Mechanism of action:

This drug inhibits of platelet aggregation and also enhancement of fibrinolytic activity which can prevent of platelet aggregation. Alliin is a sulfur-containing compound that can convert to Allicin in an enzymatic process and Allicin can inhibit enzymes such as HMG-CoA reductase that are responsible in cholesterol synthesis.

 

 

Dosage:

Unless otherwise prescribed, take 2-4 tablets per day.

 

 

Side effects:

In rare instances there may be gastrointestinal symptoms, or allergic reactions.

 

 

Contraindication:

In case of allergy to any component of medicine.

 

 

Interactions:

Concomitant use of garlic with anti-coagulant and anti-platelet drugs such as aspirin and warfarin can increase risk of bleeding. Recommended to consult with physician or pharmacist.

 

 

Cautions:

In case of gastrointestinal problems, quit the treatment. It is recommended to use it after age 40 to prevent atherosclerosis. 

 

 

Using during pregnancy:

Consult with your physician.

 

 

Using during lactation:

No restrictions known.
